LAKE WAIKARE FATALITY.
OPEN VERDICT RETURNED. A verdict of accidental death was returned by Mr. H. A. Young. S.M., at the inauest held at Ranginri in connection with the death of John Brady, aged 21 who was drowned in Lake Waikare on \pril 23 throuah the swamping of a flatbottomed boat. The only witness was Miss Irene Skinner, who had a providential escape from a similar fate after be ing in the water for five hours.
