MAYORAL INSTALLATION. [BV TELEGRAPH. —OWII CORRESPONDENT.} CAMBRIDGE. Wednesday, , The Mayoral installation took place in I the Council Chambers at midday to-day. j All members of the Council were present and a number of business people. The retiring Mayor, Mr. S. Lewis, referred to the very satisfactory position of borough affairs at present. In installing Mr. C. H. Priestley a3 Mayor, Mr. Lewis j referred to the 18 years-of useful service j rendered by the new Mayor. He hoped the borough would continue the great j progress made in the immediate past. Mr. Priestley said he intended asking the council to sanction his securing an j independent report on the office adminis- ! tration of the past two years, and fall j reports oil the gas, water and' fowerage j services. He proposed to endeavour to ; carry forward an extension of the borough I water supply. The following committees were appointed:— Legal and finance, the I Mayor. Messrs.
