THAMES VALLEY ROADS.

DAMAGE BY FLOOD WATERS. [bt TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAEROA. Wednesday. The road between Te Aroha and Paeroa I suffered rather severely during the recent | floods, and is still in a very rough condi- ! tion. The many washouts have been now ■ repaired, but' travelling, especially by ! motor, is most uncomfortable, and the I numerous jolts and shakings remind the ! traveller of a bullock waggon on a bush • track. Several slips and washouts which : occurred on the Paeroa-Waihi road have i now b»en dealt with, but the road is still \ in a bad state, and surfacemen are still i working on it.
