BOYCOTT SET ON FOOT.
HOUSEWIVES ORGANISING. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. April 30. .; Housewives throughout .": the country are organising a boycott for the purpose of : lowering the price of sugar, which is now retailing at from ', 10 to 12 cents a. pound. Various J women's clubs and organisations in New York, Washington, Chicago, Buffalo and other principal cities are conducting a series of- mass meetings and house-to-house canvassing in an effort to persuade housekeepers to refrain from buying until sugar is cheaper.
