RESTORATION OF SIGHT.
SEQUEL TO ILLNESS. A. and N.Z. LONDON. April 30. A remarkable incident was recorded during the voyage of the steamer Diogenes. Herbert Gilson, a South African poet, who was discharged from the Army totally blind, joined the vessel at Durban for the purpose of consulting a specialist in England. He became ill, and lay unconscious for several days. Upon recovery his sight was completely restored. ■'.-'.
