At a meeting of the" Brookfield branch of the New Zealand Dairy Farmers' Union, the Te Awamata Power Board's scheme was favourably commented upon by I members, who considered the charges made by the Thames Valley Board unnecessarily high when compared with those of the former body. It was decided to circularise the - other branches of the union in the Valley with a view to joint action in an endeavour to secure a satisfactory explanation in justification, of the local charges; otherwise for /an early alteration to the Te Awamutu scale. _ ■ The formation of a local'' herd-testing association was decided upon, and the work of organisation will commence in Veterinary matters were discussed, and it was agreed that arrangements bo made for the approaching demonstration -at "Waitoa by Government veterinary officers. Mr. H. E. Martin was appointed delepate to-attend the National Conference at Palmerstoh'North on May 22.
