PARISHIONERS' MEETINGS.

ST. MATTHEW'S.

The annual parishioners' meeting of St. J Matthew's Church was attended by about ; 100, the -vicar, the Rev. C. H. Grant i Coven, presiding. The past year was a I most successful one. It was stated thaV during the year 123 weddings and 206 baptisms had taken place in the church. Thirty-five persons had been confirmed., while the communicants numbered . 2695, J nearly 1000 more than in the previous year. Mention was made of the benefits of; the Sunday evening social meetings held in the schoolroom -after the service, which did much to bring the . people together. Over 3000 visitors and strangers, were entertained during the year. The vicar's work in this connection was appreciatively spoken of. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance ;of £29. A, Marriner. ST. PETER'S, TAKAPUNA. The annual; meeting i of ■, parishioners of St. Peter's Church, Takapuna, was held in the Parish Hall, the; vicar, the Rev. W. G. Moncktonj presiding.
