Tuesday. ■){•■■■ The annual meeting of theEodney Agricultural "Society : was held on Saturday night. {The balance-sheet showed a credit of £23 14s 6d. • Members present expressed appreciation of the work done by their officers during the year. Officers for ensuing^ear were elected as follows: Patron, Mr. A. J. Murdoch, M,P.; president, Mr. L. J. Smith: vice-president, Mr. A E. Pickering; auditory; Mr. theman;; secretary ■ and treasurer, Mr. H. B. Moore. A:: strong committee were "appointed; ; It was decided to plough, harrow, and level the Show Ground, and sow in good grass, which w ill greatly improve the ground for shows, and also for cricket arid- other games. ;.'•;'':•./ ,J „ „ The Loyal , Warkworth Pioneer Lodge, 1.0.0. F., held their annual social in the Town Hall, Warkworth, on Friday night, about 60 couples assembling. A most enjoyable evening was spent. During the evening Mr. P. A. Syers, D.G.M., addressed the gathering, : and spoke of the privileges and advantages of Oddfellowship. Mr. Syers, on behalf of the Auckland district, presented Mr. Stan. Orr, I.P.N. ; of the Warkworth Pioneer Lodge, with a handsome gold medal in' recognition of his services in introducing new members. During the past three years Mr., Orr has introduced 40 new members to his 'lodge.
