THE ANZAO QUALITY.
Sir, would like to express my appreciation of an article in the New Zealand Herald of Tuesday, April 24, by Alf. R. W. Krebs, headed "The Ansae Quality."; It is . one of the finest things I have seen written about Anzac, and every word of it is true. There are so many of our Anzac;boys fighting in civil life, a harder battle even than Anzac Day in all its sombre reality ■ I have come in • touch with quite a iew who compel one's . admiration for their quiet acceptance 'of the suffering .■ which follows "was—in ill health; in lossfinancially; ' which compels them to see wife and children doing without the comforts and education which they fain, would give them, in the added .anxiety. which loss brings in every way. All honour to them, ..and may wo never forSet them or theirs. And for those who nave apparently,-failed—gone under— we say, let our hearts and thoughts only contain love for them—for in our time ot peril, they failed not. And I feel sure that God will not fail ; them, but will lift them up. "Be merciful," for every, m&u is fighting a hard battle. >■;? , ■ •; One Who' Cares.
