Beautiful weather greeted the second day of the Havrke's Bay Racing Club's Autumn Meeting. The attendance was good, and the course was in excellent order. The sum of £21,501 was put through the machine, compared with £21,173 for the second day of last year's Autumn Meeting, an increase of £388. The totalisator investments for the meeting amounted to £41,696, against £40,914 last year, ai) increase of £752. Following are the results:-— • KARAMU HURDLES, IS miles.— bond (A. H.. Burt), 10.1-3, 1; Mountain Peer, 2; Powder King, 3. Also started: Master Oriflamme, Tahumata. Mountain Peer was first away,-/ but Powder King soon displaced Kim. . Passing the atand_ the order was Powder King, Master Oriflamme, Mountain Peer, Tahumata, Vagabond. Going round . the Southland -Road bend Vagabond' took t up the running, and Mountain Peer went up further. . Rounding the _ railway bend, Powder King was finished with, leaving the race to Mountain Poor and Vagabond. A ' great race' down the straight, resulted in Vagabond winning by one and a-half lengths, with Powder Kins three and, a-half lengths further back. Time, 3m 15 l-ss. .
