In the final contests at the Whuttgarci-' County sheep dog trials on Saturday, the - following were the results: — : ; Driving and Yarding.—G. 11. Milne's ; Skye, 51 points, 1; C, H. Milne's Tweed, "J 50, 2; P. Carter's Floss, 49, 3. Possible £ points, 52.' The Huntaway Cup was won by ; H. B. Sloan's Mattie, the Chase Cup b'j F, F. Gill's Bricoj J. A. Fudaytion's trophy for driving and yarding,- by G. 11. Milne's Skye; and the. Evans' Cup by Leslie : Sloan's Speed. The Simmons' Challenge Shield for the dog scoring most points at • the meeting was won by.G. H. MHne'u Tweed; also the Close Cup for the champion dog of the meeting. The Crawford rose bowl for the local dog securing most points at all local trials held north of Auckland during the sea- , eon 'was awarded to H. B. Sloane'a Don with a total of 343 points. At Otarnatoa he scored 121, at Bay of Islands 126, arid • at Whangarei 86. This year's meeting is regarded as the most successful held.
