AMENDMENT OF AWARDS.
QUESTION OF "DIRT MONEY."
An order amending the Northern Industrial District (except Gisborne) Electical Workers' Award in regard to dirt ! money " has been made by the Arbitra- ; tion Court, by the addition to clause 3 |of the following words: " Cement work- : ers: Work performed in the clinker-grind-I ing mill only shall be considered as comj ing within the scope of this clause." The t application for the amendment was made | by the Wilsons Cement Company, j An order has been issued adding Kemp- ! thorne, Prosser and Co., New Zealand i Drug Company, and R. and W. Hellabv I to the Northern Industrial District (excent j Gisborne) Electrical Workers' Award. The (Court further ordered that the provisions jof clause 3 of the award, dealing with | "dirt money " should not apply in reI spect of Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., if ■ and so long ,-» s the present conditions of : employment continue.
