PESNT SYSTEM' ENDORSED.
HOUSEHOLDERS' RESOLUTIONS.
The present system of education received the . approval of a number of householders' meetings last evening, when the following' remit was : submitted' ;by the Primary School Teachers' Association: —" That the Minister for Education be asked, in the event of any amendment , to.. the Act, : that the present : system of free, secular and : compulsory.. education, the. basis jOf the present Act, be maintained." . The" remit was . endorsed by meetings at the / following schools, among others City, Mount Eden, Epsom, Grafton, Newmarket, Grey : Lynn, Ellerslie and Otahuhu. , .;. -
