REMUERA RECREATION AREA.
Few realise how much some give, how little others. This does not refer to money only, but to service. On. Saturday one or two collectors' reports were ' handed in; ho complaints were made, but it is hard to understand the attitude of some of the residents to-, ward, the men who have not only suuscribed well but have given much time. Many would rather give more and be excused from collecting. A special appeal is made to oil Remuera residents to give air they can not just what they can spare, but to make some sacrifice, and if it is beyond- their capacity to give money, give a word of good cheer, an • oiler of help. Do not .treat the voluntary collector as if he were a pest. He is not-. He is not even a necessary evil: he is a fellow resident giving service free.
