KING AND THE POPE.
PREMIER UPHOLDS VISIT.
(Received 2.15 p.m.) Router. LONDON, April 20. Mr. Fonar Law, referring to the Albert Hall meeting of protest -,_. against the King's projected visit to the Vatican, said that the Government was of opinion that, in view of the large number . ■of Roman Catholics in the Empire, it was obviously the duty of His Majesty to follow the example of King Edward, and pay a courtesy visit to the Pope.
