OLD FOLKS' RALLY.
A. successful old folks* rally was held it the Baptist Tabernacle on Saturday afternoon. The ground floor -was entirely occupied by the old people—whose ages ranged . from the 60's to the 90's— their escorts, while the gallery was crowded with an interested congregation. The Rev. J. W. Kemp presided, and brief addresses -were given by Brigadier Stone and the Rev. A. Clark. The anniversary choir of 300 voices sang c old and new hymns, in -which the congregation joined. Afternoon tea was served to the old people. The latter were conveyed to and from the service by a volunteer motor service. ' ■ " ' :
The anniversary services in connection with the Baptist Tabernacle Sunday-school were repeated yesterday, and attracted crowded congregations. In the afternoon Mr. H. T. H. Grave was inducted to the position of superintendent of the Sundayschool. The president of the Tabernacle, Mr. F. N. Andrews, had charge of the service. Short addresses were given by the president and the Rev. J. W. Kemp". Mr. Grave thanked all present for the kindly reception he had received, and said he looked for the hearty co-operation of the minister and the teachers, and with their assistance he had every hope of success of the work in hand. The musical portion of the service was a special feature of the afternoon.
