THE PERAMBULATOR RACE.
ILL EFFECT ON A BABY. LONDON, April 13. The magistrate at Brighton has granted summonses against Edwards and his wife for their part in the race for mothers, who pushed perambulators, each containing a baby, from London to Brighton, a. distance of 52 miles.
A doctor reported that the Edwards baby, when it arrived at Brighton, after having been 14 hours on the road, was cold and dirty, and had been vomiting.
