ATLANTIC SALMON.

LAKE TE ANAU CATCHES. The three Atlantic salmon that were taken in a, tributary of Lake Te Anau attracted much attention in Dunedin last week. They are somewhat narrow,, very dark, and by shape and teeth they should be regular fighters. Mr. Ayson, inspector of fisheries, obtained the fry 12 ■or 13 years ago from Scotland, and liberated this fry in the shallows of Te Anau. From then on, until now, no trace of the fish was found, and it was feared that they had died. The total catch reported numbers 53.
