FLY-FISHING AT TAUPO.

Since the southerly gale of Sunday the weather has been perfect, and fishermen have secured several good catches. The condition and size of the fish continue excellent, but the catches are small in numbers Fly fishermen this week have secured fish up to 141b. in weight in the TaurangaTaupo Stream, and up to 151b. in the Waihara. A male rainbow weighing 171K was caught on the fly at the Waikato outlet on Wednesday at mid-day, just opposite the wharf, by Mr. D. F. Scott. A fair number of young fish have been noticed in the river lately.
