TO - DAY'S FORECAST.
GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows: —The indications are. for variable breezes, moderate to strong ■ north-east to north-west prevailing ; weather fair, but with increasing cloudiness generally, and dull and misty in northern and southernmost districts. The barometer has a falling tendency. MR. H. M. VINCENT'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 48 hours, from 7 a.m. to-day, was supplied to us last evening by Mr. H. M. Vincent: Fair to cloudy conditions are likely in northern-, districts, and moderate to strong easterly winds and cloudy weather, with variable breezes is indicated ftar the south. Seas moderated but becoming rough on east coast of North Island. A tropical storm is again in evidence north of the Dominion. RAINFALL RECORD.
