TBV TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] . WELLINGTON. Wednesday. A private cablegram received in Wellington to-day conveys the information that the English Electric Company. Limited, has secured the contract for the electrification of the first section of the great Indian peninsula railways. This is ,i very important work. The locomotives will be fitted with the company's standard cam shaft control equipment as supplied to the New Zealand Government for the Otira tunnel electrification. This is the first important work of the kind to be undertaken, in India,
