WHOLESALE MURDERER
EXHUMATION OF VICTIMS. AMAZING CALLOUSNESS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. 'Becd. 5.5 p.m.) PARIS. March 4. Gruesome scenes were witnessed at Nancy, when Camille Salvador* was taken to the scene of his crimes and forced to witness the exhumation of the bodies of his victims. Salvador stood unmoved while fragments of bones, pieces of clothing, paper and empty purses were recovered He related cynically how he led his victims in turn to the edge of the dugout and killed them.
The charges against Camille Salvador, a ganger employed in destroying ammunition dumps, eclipse those for which the notorious Landru was executed. It is alleged that Salvador, in order to secure the money of the men in his gang, blew up dumps so as to kill the men, pocketed their money, and reported the deaths as accidental. " He was arrested -following an attempt to cash a bond belonging to a victim.
