BOXING.

MURRAY V. SCROQQINS.

A boxing carnival under the auspices of the Northern Boxing Association will be held at the Town Hall on Monday, March 12. The principal contest is that between Los Murray, of Wellington, professional light-weight champion of New Zealand, and Billy Scroggins, who is the claimant to the title of welter-weight champion of New South Wales. Murray arrived yesterday from the South, and commences his training to-day. The following amateur bouts of four 3min rounds will be- decided at the carnival: Bantam-weights: Clarkson v. O'Sullivan Feather-weights: Ninkie ▼, J. Hewson,' Halford v. Milner. Light-weights: J. Fletcher v. G. Andrews. A welter-weight contest between Buckley and L. Pierotti may also bo arranged.
