TELEGRAPHIC CHESS MATCH

AUCKLAND BEATS OTAGO.

The results of the eight unfinished games in the Auckland v. Otago telegraphic chess match are now to hand. The adjudication board has decided that Auckland won two of the games, those played by Coulthard and Pickett. Miles and Jones, of Auckland, lost their games, and the remaining four were adjudged drawn. The final result for the whole match is Auckland, 11; Otago, nine. The winning of the contest against Otago gives Auckland the inter-club championship for the year.
