WELCOME HOME DINNER.
MR. BODDLE ENTERTAINED.
A welcome-homo dinner was tendered by the directors of the Farmers' Union Trading Company to their chairman, .Sir. James Boddie, last evening. Mr. A. A. Ross, vice-chairman, presided. Mr. Roddie has recently returned from a tour of Britain, the Continent, and America. Mr. Ross formally welcomed Mr. Boddie back to the Dominion. The guest of , the evening, m reply, gave an account of his trip abroad, and of his investigations into co-operative and agricultural matters. He stated that the farmers m his native country, Scotland, were.still unorganised. Referring to ■ Uen»art. J* said that in some ! was far ahead of New n^ s «£ in the matter of co-operation.
