NEW RUBBISH COLLECTION. IBY'TILEGBAI-H. —OWN COKRKSPONDENT.] MORBINSVILLE. Saturday. ' Plans for the institution of a rubbish collection scheme in Morrinsville have been completed by the Morrinsville Borough Council, and the project will be put into dperation on October 1. The idea is that rubbish will be collected by a borough employee and taken to two in-expensively-constructed incinerators* to be destroyed. Two services a week will be given to the people in the business area, one service a week to the householders in the congested area, and one collection a fortnight to the people in'the outer area. A social room has been added to the Morrinsville Fire Brigade station, and a billiard table has been installed. An assurance has been received that as the result of the equioment provided at the station, and the efficiency of the members, the'Morrinsville business people will be given a reduction in their rates for insurance. As the result of representations* madf by the ratepavers of the Tahuna riding oi the Hauraki Plains County, a oonferenci, of members of the Piako County Council and members of the Hauraki Plaiqs County Council, and a largely attended meeting of the Tahuna ratepayers, it has been decided to alter the boundaries of, the Piako County so as to include the Tahuna riding and exclude it from the Haurnki Plains Countv. It has been agreed by all parties that Tahuna's interests lay in the direction of Morrins\ille and away from the Hauraki Plains, and that Piako County roads are used a great deal more than the Hauraki Plains roads by the Tahuna ratepayers. The agreement for the secession of Tahuna from the Haaraki Plains has been decided on, subject to an adjustment with regard to bridge liabilities, which has been agreed to.
