PRODUCTION AND LIVING. RETURN INEVITABLE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) BRISBANE, Aug. 16. In his opening address at the annual conference of the Central Council of Employers of Australia, the president, Mr. George Fairbairn, declared that return to the pre-war scale of production accompanied by the pre-war standard of living was inevitable if Australia was to compete iri the markets of the world.
