The tone of the Auckland Bharemaxlvet was unchanged yesterday. In Government stocks business was done in War Loans, 1927, at £95 ss, at which price there were further buyers, without sellers. Tho 1938 loan sold at £95 10s, lata buyers £95 7a 6d, sellers '£96. Sew Zealand Inscribed* Stock, 1927, sold at £95 ss, buyers still,offering that figure at last call, with no sellers. Soldiers' Loan (inscribed stock) had firm inquiry ab £99, sellers asking £99 ss. Bonds in the same loan were wanted at £98 15s, holders £99 10s. In banks New South Wales (new issue) had demand at £35 7s fid, sellers £36; New Zealands changed hands at 55s 3d, late buyers 555, sellers 55s 3d. For P. and O's. buyers advanced offers to £13 ss, but there were no sellers. In insurances New Zealands had inquiry at 28s 2d, sellers firm at 28s 6d; South British, at 38s 6d, bad buyers at 38s 3d. Standards were offered at 31s 6d, buyers 31s. In gas there were sales of Aucklands (both issues) at recent rates. In miscellaneous lines Colo-

nial Sugar (Fiji and New Zealand), sold at £10, with late buyers at £9 17s 6d, and sellers at £10 2s 6d. For Auufrralian issue buyers were offering £33 10s, but sellers were not quoting. In mining Waihis changed hands at 28a 6d, sellers offering more at that price, buyers 28s 4d. Grand Junctions were done at 9s, sellers closing at 9s 2d, buyers at 8a 9d, The following sales took . place : — New Zealand War Loan 1927, £95 ss; ' 1938, £95 10s; New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1927, £95 ss; Bank of New Zealand, 55s 3d; Auckland Gas (paid up) 22s Bd, (con.) 17s 9d; Colonial Sugar (Fiji and Now Zealand), £10; Waihi, 28s 6d; Waihi Grand Junction, 9s.
