The Rome correspondent of the Times reports that peace does, not yet reign in Italy, though for a moment there may be only a battle of words'. G'abriele. d'Annunzio has com© into the limelight. again in a perfervid declaration. ; He ••. says: " I feel that I am Italy; that I amthe legitimate expression of the hopeis, faith, and will of all our people." His legionaries replied hailing him as the first President of the Italian Republic, declaring: "The road to Rome is open; the legionaries are yours—give your orders."
Massolini, the Fascisli leader, also talks of a march on Rome, and a coup d'etat is a possibility.
