Some time ago the Wangamri Sculling _ Committee decided to give Darcy Hadfield another chance to secure the worlds championship title, and as soon as the fact became known' several outeide. sporting enthusiasts expressed the desire to subscribe toward meeting the heavy expenditure that will necessarily be involved. It was suggested Ithat as this was a matter of Dominion importance ' other parts of New Zealand to have an interest in the enterprise.
