SERVED WITH CANADIANS.

PRINCE GREETS JAPANESE. TOKIO, Apru 24. A characteristic incident occurred at the reception given in honour of the Prince of Wales in tho British Embassy.

Among the guests was a Japanese gentleman, Mr. Morooka, in the uniform of a Canadian military officer. He is a. nephew of Count Fukushima, and was in Canada when the war broke out. He at onc e ""enlisted, and went to the front as a inomber of the Canadian army. He had tho misfortune to be seriously wounded, and to suffer the loss of one leg.

The Prince noticed him, and was deeply -ffocted to hear his story. He shook hands with him, and said he was proud to meet a Japanese warrior who had shed his blood side by side with British soldiers for tho sake of the British Empire.

While the Prince was speaking tho silence was profound, everyone straining to hear what he said. But at the end the groat impression which he had created was unmistakable.
