METEOROLOGICAL.
TO-DAY'S FORECAST. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government Meteorologist reported last night as follows:—Present indications are for moderate to strong southeasterly to north-easterly winds northward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura; northerlies elsewhere Weather will be changeable and showery in northern and East Coast districts of the North Island, with cool, fair to cloudy weather elsewhere. Tha barometer has a falling tendency. MR. C. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 8 p.m. yesterday:—A considerable chango in atmospheric conditions has taken place since yesterday. Tho tropical and Antarctic low-pressure systems that threatened rain in the north and west have passed eastward, %vhi(lo the high-pressuro system still covers the whole Dominion. This means unsettled, squally and showery weather from southward along tho east const of the North Island, while in other parts it should be mostly fair te 6nc, with cold nights inland. Areas of rough seas between Cape Brett, East Capo, Hawko's Bay, and Capo Campboll. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER. Rainfall in City for 24 hours ended midnight. May 1 (Herald gauge) .OOln.
