MOTOR RACES POSTPONED.
BAD ROADS TO MURIWAI. RESULT OF WET WEATHER. The motor-car races which were to have been held to-day at Muriwai Beach, hava been postponed until Saturday, March 11, l>7 the Auckland Automobile Association. Motorists who went to the beaoh yesterday morning telephoned to the association that heavy rain which had fallen in the district had rendered the unmetalled roads in a very bad state, requiring heavy chains on the wheehi. The metalled road to Brigham's Creek, about half way, wag in good condition, but beyond that trouble commenced, and the five miles of newly graded road through the Huapai flat were very bad. In consequence of this information, and after taking into consideration tihe prevailing weather conditions, the committee of the association yesterday afternoon decided to, postpone the races for a fortnight, and ensure the comfort and pleasure of the publio attending the event
