LONDON BUTTER PRICES.
AN EASIER TENDENCY. CHEESE MARKET SLOW. A an.IN.Z. LONDON. Feb. 23. Unsalted butter is easier, as supplies have increased considerably. Choicest salted is scarcely so firm, but all other sorts are meeting excellent demand, and arrivals are clearing well. New Zealand unsaltcd is quoted at 144 s to 1465, as against 160s a fortnight ago. The following prices are ruling for New Zealand waited:—Choicest, 138s to 140s the same as on February 9; exceptional, W2s; secondary, 129s to 135s (129 8 to 132s a fortnight ago). Australian choicest unsalted is quoted at 135& to 138s; salted choicest at 126s to 128s; exceptional at 130s, and secondary at 116s to 1225. The cheese market is slow. New Zealand best white is quoted at 88s to 90s, as against 92s lo 94s a fortnight ago; coloured at 96s to 100s, as against 100s a fortnight ago.
