WILLIAMS AND WASHBURN WIN.

In an exhibition tennis doubles match Washburn and Williams defeated Anderson and Todd (Australia), 6—3, 6—3, 6—2. The Australians played smoothly together, but were not sufficiently forceful to hold their opponents. The Americans gained their principal opportunities in all the sets off Todd's service. The points were: Americans, 32, 35, 31; Australians, 23, 27, 19.
