21 UNION VESSELS LAID UP.
TOTAL OF OVER 55,000 TONS.
The Union Company's idle steamers now number twenty-one. The latest vessel to be put out of commission is the Kittawa, at Wellington, her crew beincr paid off on Monday. The tonnage ol Union Company's steamers lving idle at various ports totals 55.427 gross tons.
