A memorandum was received from the department statin* that it was proposed not to entertain future application for grants for permanent apparatus for cooking centres in the nature of non-essential articles such as china, table- Iraen and cutlery, as such apparatus was not considered necessary for the efficient teaching of cookery and domestic science. "
A letter was received from the New L.ynn bchool Committee stating that it was proposed to apply for subsidy on voluntary contributions, * mounting to £700, for improvements to the school grounds.
