MANSLAUGHTER TRIAL.
VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. Charged with causing the death of William Hackisson, through his motor colliding with the deceased's gig, Guv Leslie Pulton was found not guilty. An interesting point in connection with the case was medical evidence that if a certain operation had not been performed, the deceased may lived. When one of the witnesses stated this, His Honor said: "Yes, but probably with a useless leg. I want that made clear "
