GEM MERCHANT'S LOSS.
JEWELS VALUED AT £2060.
THIEVES. VISIT BEDROOM. [BY TELECRAPH.-PnESS .ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. A daring burglary is reported Mr. H. Baron, dealer iu precious stones, o! Sydney, who has been travelling the Dominion with jewellery, had £2060 worth of diamonds opals, and pearls stolen from Ins bedroom in the hotel at which he was staying. The thieves gained admission to Ms room, and, cutting a hole in his bag. stole the jewellery. In their hurry they overlooked other jewellery. It is believed Mr. Baron had been Bhadowcd.
