For having disobeyed the orders of the second engineer while the Mapourika was on a voyage from Napier to Wellington, Patrick Redmond, fireman, was to-day fined £5. The engineer ordered the accused to work up steam pressure to .normal, 15Clb. Redmond refused, and the engineer and another officer turned to and brought up the required pressure.
