THE RUGBY CAME.
AUCKLAND UNION'S SEASON.
The balance-sheet to be presented at the annual meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union on Wednesday next shows that last season was most satisfactory . from a financial point of view. The gross takings at Eden Park, Victoria Park. Show Grounds, and Domain amounted to £1887. and the total receipts were £2424 13s 9d. The expenditure, which included a debit balance from the previous year of £695 16s 3d. amounted to £2830 Is 7d. The debit was, therefore, reduced to £405 7s 10d. which showed a. profit on the year's working of £290 8s 5d- During the season the union paid £440 12s to the Eden Park trustees. PARNELL CLUB. The annual meeting of the Parnell Rugby Union Football Club will be held in the club's training shed on Monday evening nest. All members and intending members 1 are invited to attend. v.
UNDER LEAGUE RULES.
MARIST BROTHERS' OLD BOYS. The annual meeting of the Marist Brothers' Old Boys' League Football Club was held in the League rooms during the week. There was a fair attendance of members. The report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, _ showed that the club was in a most satisfactory position. The senior team had played some hard matches during the early part of the season, most of which they lost. Towards the close, of the 1 "<on, however, the members had trained *il«fly and gave a good account of thems*t>- *. in the concluding stages of the contest. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Dr. H. W. Cleary. Roman Catholic Bishop pf Auckland; president, Mr. C. A. K. Russell; delegate to the Auckland League, Mr. J. Endean; secretary, Mr. T. J. Harris; treasurer, Mr. W. Glover; management committee. Messrs. Taite. Fogarty Turner, Hing. St. George, Glover, and Barlington. The club.will hold a moonlight excursion on Monday, March 29, and several other forms of_ entertainment, for its members and their friends for: the winter months are being • considered by the Entertainment Committee.
NORTH SHORE ALBION CLUB. The annual meeting of the North Shore Albion League Football Club was held on Thursday evening, the president, Mr. J. Henderson, occupying the chs-ir. The balance-s-beet, showed a. credit balance of £25 14s Bd. The following officers were elected:—Patron, the Mayor of Devonport, Mr. H. S. W. King president, Mr. J- Henderson (re-elected); secretary. Mr. C.'K. Boyer, pnvtem.: auditor, Mr. R. A. Spinley: committee. Messrs. S. Walters, H. J. Mann. G. Wheatley, W. Probert, C. Davis, .and L. Low. The whole of last year's vice-president* were re-elected. Mr- G. Wheatley was appointed delegate to the Auckland League, and Mr, D. Young to the Junior Advisory Board. Messrs. R. Catton and H. F. Griffin were elected, life members of the club.
GRAFTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Grafton Athletic Football Club will be held at the Rugby League rooms on Tuesday, evening next. - \ THE ASSOCIATION GAME. WALES DEFEATS ENGLAND. . Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.55 p.m.) LONDON. March "6 (delayed) The Association football match between Wales and England; played at London, was won by the'former by two goals to one. .
