DEATH LEADS TO SUICIDE.
Hilda Thome, aged 24 years, a servant, of Weybridge, took some chloride of mercury from) a medicine cabinet in a house where she was employed, says a London paper. She had received a letter stating that her sweetheart, a New Zealand soldier, had died while homeward bound. She died after terrible sufferings. She had intended to leave within a week for New Zealand to be married* :
