HELP FOR AUSTRIA.
ALLIES CONSIDER MEASURES.
LOAN OF £327,000,000 NEEDED. United Service. LONDON. Deo. 17.
It is considered that Herr Renner's statement regarding the food situation in Austria has bade it clear that the country can only be rescued by the Allies. Among other measures it is proposed to dispatch 30,000 tons of cereals stored at Trieste to Austria. It is estimated that Austria needs a loan of £32,7,000,000 sterling to enable the nation to re-start work on a proper basis.
