ESCAPE FROM GAOL.
<m [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMAEU, Thursday. Alfred Charles Thomas Lamb, who was on remand on charges of theft in Timaru escaped from the local gaol during the night. He was last seen in the gaol ut half-past ten o'clock last night. WAGES IN BOOT FACTORIES. -»- , COURT GRANTS INCREASES. [by telegraph.— association.] DUNEDIN,. Thursday. The Arbitration Court has filed orders amending the male and female boot operative awards for the Dominion, to take effect from January 1. Male workers are to receive a bonus of 2d on the existing flat rate of Is 6d an hour, and females an increase of 5s on the present flat rates, without bonus.
