WRECK AT THE ISLANDS.

RESULT OF INVESTIGATION. CERTIFICATE SrjSPENDEft. [raoM owa own cobeksponoeht.] SUVA (FIJI). Deo. 11. At & Court of Investigation on Monday the certificate of Captain Robertson was suspended for three months in connection with the wreck on the reef at Likuri, at the south-west corner of Viti Levu, of the auxiliary schooner Gilbert Islands, owned . by Burns, Philp and Co. '?■■ The Court found that the captain should ' not have brought in his ship so close to the land, nor should he have been absent from 10 to 12 p.m., leaving the ship in charge of an uncertificated officer, when he knew he was so near the land. The captain said a strong easterly inset, not mentioned in the Admiralty books but known locally, was the cause of the wreck.
