Brown has a majority of 50 votes over Mr. F. C. Evans, the Labour candidate. There are 242 absent votes and. 37 seamen's votes to count. *> The return of Sir James Allen for Bruce is apparently assured. There are only 191 absent votes, and the Minister for Defence has a majority, according to the latest return, of 118. As there are only 60 absent votes, the return of Mr. D.
