Major J. C. Hill, who was a member of the New Zealand Expeditionary Fore , and served as provost marshal ::i the Dominion after being severe wounded on active service, has been appointed to take charge of the Samoan Constabulary, wihich is being established to replace tie Samoan Relief For^e.

Captain George I'roctor, formerly of Botorua, has been appointed inspector. Lieutenant Watson and Detectrre Boddam have been appointed sub-inspectors.
