OHINEMURI.
The report of the directors of the Ohinemuri Gold and Silver Mines for the halfyear ended August TH, 1919, states that development works have been vigorously carried out. Satisfactory progress has been made with tho extension of the drive which will crosscut tho Camoola reef at a low level, and enable development work to be carried out in this extensive ore body. Work has also been pushed ahead on, the Queen and Royal reefs. A reserve of ore. estimated tit over 10,000 tons, is being developed in this section of the mine for future battery treatment. The ore in paddock now totals '20-15 tons. It is not the present policy of tho directors to carry on stopnig operations, which would increase this quantity, as paddocked ore involves extra handling and is liublo to oxidation by exposure to tho weather. Wont •* being concentrated on developing fro reserves, which can be readily sloped wnon tho battery is in operation. Should runs of rich silver teiiurida lie met with, these will be broken out, and the selected oro shipped to the Sulphide Corporation, Lid. Mr. R.
