ESSAY COMPETITION.
The Navy League, being desirous of increasing the interest in naval history, intends to offer prizes for the bes.t essays relating to the navy and mercantile marine. The first subject is " The Story of Zeobruggc." Details of the competition, which is open to pupils of all the schools I in the Auckland Province, are announced J elsewhere in this issue. *
