THE SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
NO CHANGE IN POSITION. FEDERAL MINISTER'S REPLY. REPORTED UNSATISFACTORY By Tolesraph-Press Association-Copyright. (Received 11 p.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Aug. 18. The position in regard to the seamen's strike is unchanged. The reply of Mr. E. D. Millen, the Federal Minister who is conducting the negotiations with the seamen, is reported to be unsatisfactory. Victorian seamen believe "that the end is in sight. OPINION AT MELBOURNE. SUPPORT FOR SYDNEY. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Aug. 18. A stormy meeting of seamen, at which the extremists attempted to gain control, decided to support whatever decision is reached by the Sydney branch. NON-UNION CREWS. BLACK LIST IN QUEENSLAND. A. and N.Z. BRISBANE. Aug. 18. Seamen, firemen, and watersiders have black-listed all vessels manned
by non-union crews.
